About Moons Cider

Moons Cider was first established in 2015. Over the past few years of working with the fruit from our orchards, we have been fortunate enough to create ciders that are enjoyed by both returning and new customers, but also create ciders that have won awards at country shows.

Moons Cider has won a collection of awards from local country shows over recent years. We have won multiple awards every year since 2015 to recent years being awarded  'Somerset Cider Champion' in 2019.

Moons Cider was started by Tom Moon, with a small homemade cider press and a few apples from apple orchards surrounding his home. The first year of production needed a few tweaks to say the least.

Every year since then cider has been produced here at Woodbine Farm and production has improved, adding new varieties and extending our product range. 

Fruit and Orchards

At Moons Cider we make sure the fruit that goes into making our cider is not only sourced from within a mile of our premises but is also picked from healthy orchards that are well maintained and looked after.

We understand that to make a good quality cider you first need to grow good quality fruit. That is why the apples first need to grow on well-established trees, to not only grow to their full size but also develop their full flavour as a variety before being pressed.
